Croydon´s first book of views was:

A GUIDE TO THE WATERING PLACES on the Coast Between the Exe and the Dart; including Teignmouth, Dawlish & Torquay, embellished with a general view of Teignmouth and Dawlish, and the various Seats Around Them, with a short description of the neighbourhood; to which will be subjoined, by special leave, from the Honourable Board of Ordnance, a reduced part of their grand map, dedicated, by permission, to the Right Hon. Lord Viscount Exmouth.

It is clear that Grove Cottage and Trafalgar Cottage had to be amended due to a printing error quite early on. Haightly Cottage was added later and rarely present. I have no copy of this print.

[i] Entry 114 is an unbound copy or a composite from different sources but includes all of the Croydon prints listed here. Grove Cottage was originally Northcote Cottage. In the text the house is referred to as Grove Cottage. This is one of the two prints which have ben amended by the application of a label over the original title.
